Daniel R. Baker, Ph.D.
President, Kinetic Research & Design Co.
Baker is an ergonomic specialist who applies his expertise to human factor concerns in medical device research and design. His areas of experience include the design of skeletal prosthetic systems, and the design of complex data presentation and control system-human interfaces for operators, such as aircraft pilots, who must effectively manage emergencies.
Ram Bedi, Ph.D., M.B.A.
President, Puget Ultrasound, Inc.
Bedi has provided engineering consulting services to firms engaged in industrial and medical applications of ultrasound for over fourteen years. Prior to forming his own consulting firm, he was Vice President of Specialty Engineering Associates, a small high-tech firm located in Milpitas, CA. More recently, he is involved in identifying new business opportunities and in developing product strategy for biomedical devices. Bedi completed his Ph.D. in electronics engineering at the University of Wales, United Kingdom, and his executive M.B.A. at the University of Washington.
Martha Feldman
President and Chief Executive Officer, Drug & Device Development Co., Inc. (DDD)
Feldman assists companies in bringing drugs and devices through the development process to market. Her expertise is in developing and implementing regulatory and clinical strategies, and in troubleshooting regulatory impediments and clinical trial activities. An instructor in the University of Washington Certificate Program in Biomedical Regulatory Affairs, the Certificate Program in Clinical Trials, and the Medical Engineering Program, Feldman is the founding past president of the organization of regulatory and Clinical Associates, a major professional organization in the Puget Sound region. She holds an affiliate faculty appointment in the UW Department of Bioengineering.
